How closely do you follow the scheduled maintenance for your 'Lude? I usually skip every other, but now wonder if this is going to effect the lifespan of the engine. While I'm not shy about hitting VTEC, I don't race or beat the crap out of the engine. Your thoughts?

I follow all of the scheduled maintence. However, I do all of it myself. I keep all of the receipt for filters, oil, gaskets, fluids, etc. so if the dealer tries to say I didn't keep up on maintence I can shove them in their face. :D

Buy a Helm's manual and you can do everything yourself.

My lude is a 2001. It has 110k on it now, and I bought it(carmax) in '04 w/ 32k. The only maintenance I've done is regular oil changes(synthetic) and new spark plugs/wires(nology) @ 65k. I have had a dc header, tanabe cat back exhaust, and injen cai installed. 80% of my driving is highway, and I rarely even push my engine to vtec(once a month). I checked all my belts and hoses, and they have no signs off ware. I've been reading alot about maintenance parts(timing belt, valve adjustment, etc.), and I think its time to do the works. I don't want any problems because the only one i've had so far is oil consumption. Can someone give me a list of stuff i might as well do now. I want my lude to last, and i'm willing to spend 1k-1.5k on maintenance pre-cautions that i've neglected to date.
